All Saints Day Year 6
Wed 01 Nov 2023To celebrate All Saints Day, we have learnt all about Oscar Romero who was trying to be like Jesus. In El Salvador, there is a tradition of producing colourful crucifixes. The bright decorations have a figure of Jesus at the centre but also include images of the local community set in a Salvadoran landscape. They have become known as Romero crosses; we have created our own Romero crosses for our community here at St Gregory's.
We responded to Pope Francis' letter asking us to care for our common home. Someone who can help us with this is the Prime Minister - Rishi Sunak. We have all written him a letter asking him to help us to make the Earth a better place. Can you be like Oscar Romero?
