Our Young Climate Scientists from Y5 took part in a Zoom call with the Royal Society who had a stand in the Green Room at Cop26. Our pupils explained our project and some of the things we had done so far and then answered questions from visitors and delegates who were attending Cop26 in Glasgow. It was a fantastic opportunity to share what we had learnt and the importance of worms to our world.
Listen to one of the questions asked..

St Gregory's have been awarded a partnership grant from the Royal Society. This is an exciting opportunity for all our pupils. It was launched 'virtually' during February 2020 and is set to continue until Easter 2021.

Our research question is

'Why are earthworms so important to our world?'

We have teamed up with research partner from the University of Central Lancashire - world leading expert in worms; Dr Kevin Butt. Find out more about Dr Kevin Butt
