  • Year 6 Problem - Solving Day

Thu 30 Mar 2023 Miss Duffy

It has been a busy day of problem solving in Year 6 today. We have all stretched ourselves, thinking logically with lots of team work and resilience. Just brilliant! We focused on being systematic and taking small steps to help the children solve their problems (e.g. finding their way to starting a jigsaw with the corner and edge pieces) or being methodical with their working (scanning each line in turn when doing word searches for a particular letter).

Year 6 enjoyed learning about morse code in their Commando Joe session with Mr Quigley. The children worked together to create their own sentences/questions/commands and cracked the codes by relaying messages using torches to their team members. Tricky stuff well done Year 6!
