In HRSE, this half term we are focusing on how to help in an emergency or an accident. The children are learning how to stay calm, when to seek help from emergency services and also basic first aid. The PEP will be to hold a mini workshop for Year 2 where we teach them all what we have learnt to help the younger children to know what to do if they ever find themselves in an emergency. 

On Thursday afternoon, we invited David and Gail from Chorley's Angels into class to help us learn more about first aid and how to help in an emergency. They taught us what it would be like on a phone call to the emergency services, how to put someone in the recovery position as well as how to perform CPR. We all learnt so much from this amazing session and we had some fun with David and Gail too. Thank you Chorley's Angels.
