Hugo Cabret
In English, we have started reading the novel Hugo Cabret. We have really enjoyed getting to know the characters and have even acted out some of their roles.
We have also been linking our learning about relative clauses to the story and have completed several short writing activities inspired by the book. These have included diary entries, letters and character descriptions.
We are all excited to find out what happens next in the story!
We started this half term by completing our PEP from last term: our non-fiction information booklets. We researched lots of facts about space to make our booklets both informative and exciting to read. We then took our time to present them carefully so they were good enough to be placed in the school library for the rest of the school to enjoy.
We really enjoyed having a purposeful end point to our writing, and other classes have already told us how much they have enjoyed reading our booklets!
